Civic and Volunteer Work

  • By request of people in the community I often meet with individuals who have recently become victim to spinal cord injuries. It is my honor to help them with and guide them through a very personal and traumatic life change. To show them inspiration and confirmation that they also can make it, and being disabled isn’t the end.
  • Organize and coordinate an outreach group with my church feeding “friends without homes” in Vancouver
  • ADA guest speaker at Ms. Wheelchair America competition in Washington DC
  • Filed Federal litigation against the City of Vancouver, WA in violation of ADA access
  • Mentor youth through Big Brother Big Sisters program

  • Motivational speaker at local middle and high schools regarding disabilities and choices
  • Volunteer with Camas Police S.C.O.P.E. program mentor high school students about choices
